Some try to weaken the fight against Covid for their own political interests: Yogi Adityanath

LUCKNOW: The prime minister of Uttar Pradesh attacked opposition parties on Tuesday, saying that some people are trying to weaken the country's fight against their own political interests.

When the country advances in its fight against it, there are many who also play politics in this situation, he added.

It is sad that some people are trying to weaken India's strong fight against the virus due to their own political interests, the prime minister said.

Adityanath said that a 'PM Garib Kalyan' package has been announced for the first time for the poor during the pandemic and that frustration is palpable among people who used to usurp money from social assistance packages targeting the poor in their regimes.

He said that while the government supported everyone without discrimination, some parties were making unnecessary policies.

This is indecent behavior against political decency. People know everything. They themselves will respond to the attitude of negative people. I call on the people of the state to support the government with patience and sensitivity, said Adityanath.

He said the government was working in the interest of 23 crore state people and migrant workers.
