Trapped in Punjab, retired police officer raped by two men
FEROZEPUR: A 50-year-old retired deputy inspector of the Government Railway Police (GRP) of Assam, who was stranded in Ferozepur due to the curfew, was allegedly raped by two unidentified men at a shelter on May 1. The woman was sent to Mata. Vaishno Devi Shrine in Jammu.
In her complaint to the police, the survivor said that she had gotten her husband's job at GRP for compassionate reasons after his death and that he had retired as an SI. GRP organized their stay in a shelter.
A rape case was recorded on Monday.
