Pakistan violates ceasefire twice in one day, India retaliates
JAMMU: Pakistan on Monday violated twice when it resorted to unprovoked firing and mortar shelling in Nowshera and Sunderbani sectors of along the Line of Control (LoC). This was the third consecutive day of ceasefire violation by Pakistan along the LoC.
Jammu-based defence spokesperson Lt Col Devender Anand said, “At about 4pm, Pakistan initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation by firing with small arms and shelling with mortars along the LoC in . India n troops are retaliating befittingly.” He further informed that Pakistan i troops violated ceasefire for the second time at around 4.30 pm in Sunderbani sector of Rajouri in region.
Earlier on April 29, Pakistan army had violated ceasefire in Shahpur and Kirni sectors along the LoC in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir. On April 28, Pakistan had resorted to unprovoked mortar shelling along the LoC in Shahpur, Kirni and Qasba sectors of Poonch district. On April 27, Pakistan had violated ceasefire along the LoC in Mankote sector of Poonch.
