Ashish Nehra reveals how the shoe was sewn for the last debut test

NEW DELHI: Former brand from India Ashish Nehra went down memory lane with a former teammate Aakash Chropra during a conversation on the Chopra show, Aakashvani.

Nehra said she only had one pair of shoes that she used to Ranji Trophy games, as well as his test debut against Sri Lanka in Colombo in 1999.

"I wore them for the first time in Ranji Trophy and had only one pair which I took them with me to play in my first Test match in 1999. I still remember I used to get the shoe stitched after each innings and that is how it survived the entire Test," Nehra said.

Speaking of bowling at the Delhi Cantonment Train Station with the club's bowling coach, Nehra said: He was not alone. There used to be many of us who were going to drop the man off at the train station. He asked us to show him different bowling actions. I remember that we would collect the stones at the station and play with them.
