Three other Indians in UAE lose jobs due to Islamophobia

NEW DELHI: Government remains concerned about attempts to disrupt community harmony in nations, particularly UAE where three more Indians have lost their jobs and face action by local authorities for their Islamophobic statements related to the coronavirus. Indian missions in the region have warned in recent weeks against incendiary posts on social media, citing the prime minister's tweet that Covid-19 does not recognize any religion, caste, creed, or border.

These developments, however, have not come in the way of India ’s cooperation with UAE in dealing with the virus. While India sent a team of medical professionals to UAE on Saturday to help the in its fight against the virus, the Gulf nation too despatched seven tonnes of medical supplies to India . India is currently also working with the UAE government to implement its plan for of India n nationals from the country. More than 50,000 people had registered for evacuation with the India n consulate in Dubai alone until Friday.
