Mumbai District Football Association Dismisses Elite, Super Divisions

MUMBAI: The Mumbai District Football Association ( MDFA ) has decided to eliminate the Elite Division and Super Division 2019-2020 leagues. Due to the blockade after coronavirus pandemic, the remaining matches of the Elite and Super Divisions could not be played.

The MDFA, during a teleconference meeting on Sunday, decided to cancel both the leagues, sources told TOI. The meeting was attended by MDFA president Aditya Thackeray and other members of the executive committee.

The committee also decided to donate a sum of the prize money to the Maharashtra Government Prime Minister Relief Fund.

The MDFA will not conduct the Women's League which was scheduled to commence from the third week of March.
