SC: CJI directs officers in the ranks of deputy secretary and superior to attend the office from May 4
NEW DELHI: President of the Supreme Court of India S A Bobde has ordered that supreme officers in the ranks of the Deputy Clerk and Superiors or their equivalent on record attend the office as of May 4.
The main court has restricted its operation since March 23, days before the start of the national closure on March 25, and is currently hearing urgent matters through videoconferences.
An office order, issued Sunday by Superior Court Clerk General Sanjeev S Kalgaonkar said the remaining staff members will continue to work from home under the terms and conditions as previously notified.
In the partial amendment of the orders mentioned above, the President of the Supreme Court of India is pleased to indicate that all officers in the ranks of the Deputy Clerk and Superiors, or their equivalent, in the register must attend the office from Monday, May 4, 2020, it said.
Remaining staff will continue to work from home on the terms and conditions as previously notified, by reference orders, however, interested registrars may order any other subordinate officials/staff to assist the office to comply with urgent requirements and, at that address, said official and/or staff must report for service in the office on the date and time indicated, he said.
The office order said that all officers and staff, while traveling to and from the office and also while on the job, must strictly follow all precautions as per the recommendations and guidelines issued by the government and the court record. occasionally to prevent the spread of COVID -19, such as practicing social distancing and wearing face masks.
