92 new cases of Covid-19 detected in UP; total in state reaches 2,579
LUCKNOW: The number of cases in Uttar Pradesh increased to 2,579 with 92 more people testing positive for the infection on Sunday, authorities said. The virus has claimed 43 lives in the state so far.
The state has reported a total number of 2,579 coronavirus cases so far, of which 698 have recovered while 43 died. There are 1,838 active cases now, said an official statement issued here.
So far, coronavirus cases have been reported in 64 of the state's 75 districts. Six of these 64 districts currently have no active cases.

The maximum of 14 deaths have been reported in Agra, followed by seven in Moradabad; six in Meerut; four in Kanpur; two in Firozabad and one in Varanasi, Aligarh, Mathura, Shrawasti, Ghaziabad, Amroha, Bareilly, Basti and Lucknow.
