ODI's three double tons are equally special to me: Rohit Sharma

NEW DELHI: when asked to name his favorite hit, opening the batter Rohit Sharma He said that the three double tons obtained by him in the format of more than 50 are equally special.

Rohit's comments came during an Instagram Live session with a pacemaker Mohammad Shami when the latter asked him to name his favorite entries.

Responding to this question, Rohit said: My first double century against Australia has to be my favorite entry, it was very special, my second double hundred, 264 against Sri Lanka is also a special entry for me, the third double century came on the day on my wedding anniversary, so all three tickets are very special to me.

Rohit is the only player in the world to have three double tons to his name in ODI cricket. He also holds the record for the highest individual score in the 50+ format as he played a 264-stroke hit against Sri Lanka in the Eden Gardens .

The right-handed hitter scored two double tons of ODI against Sri Lanka and one against Australia.

In the 2019 Cricket World Cup, Rohit Sharma finished the tournament as the highest run-scorer after registering 648 runs from just nine matches at an average of 81.00.

During the tournament, he also became the first hitter to score five centuries in a single edition of the World Cup.
