Rahul, Prasad hit him over the Aarogya app

NEW DELHI: Congress Rahul Gandhi and the Union Minister were locked in a strong exchange of words on Twitter about Aarogya Setu on Saturday. Rahul tweeted on Saturday: “The Arogya (sic) Setu app is a sophisticated surveillance system, outsourced to a pvt operator, without institutional oversight, posing serious data security and privacy issues. Technology can help us keep us safe; but fear should not be used to track citizens without their consent.

In reaction to this, the minister for electronics and information technology, Prasad, published: “Every day, a new lie. Aarogya Setu is a powerful companion that protects people. It has a robust data security architecture. Those who have dedicated themselves to surveillance throughout their lives will not know how technology can be harnessed forever! Aarogya Setu is now being appreciated globally. The application is NOT subcontracted to any private operator. Mr Gandhi, it is time for you to stop outsourcing your tweets to your buddies who don't understand India.
