Jammu and Kashmir report 27 new cases of Covid-19; UT has 666
SRINAGAR: And Kashmir reported 27 new cases of Covid-19 on Saturday, bringing the total number of infected to 666, authorities said.
Twenty-seven new cases of Jammu and Kashmir have been reported in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of positive cases to 666, they said. Officials said 25 cases were reported and two from the Jammu region Of the total cases reported so far in the Union Territory, 606 are from Kashmir and 60 from Jammu, they said.
While 254 patients recovered, eight people, including three women, died from the disease, officials said.
There are 404 active cases, they said.
More than 71,800 people have been monitored, including those in government-established quarantine facilities or in House isolation.
“A total of 71,837 travellers and persons in contact with suspected cases have been enlisted for surveillance. This includes 8,109 persons in House quarantine (including facilities operated by government), 185 in hospital quarantine, 384 in hospital isolation and 8,430 under House surveillance. Besides, 54,721 people have completed their surveillance period,” the officials added.
