Covid-19: MHA reconstitutes empowered groups
NEW DELHI: The eleven groups of trained officials created by the central government to implement Covid-19 containment measures in the country have been reconstituted, an official spokesman said Saturday.
The reconstitution of the groups, first created on March 29 under the Law, was necessary as some members withdrew, named, or were transferred from their previous position.
On Friday, the Union's interior secretary issued an order to reconstitute empowered groups, the spokesperson said.
Groups empowered under the Disaster Management Act, 2005, reconstituted to plan and ensure the implementation of Covid-19 activities, the spokesperson added.
Their terms and conditions will remain the same, depending on the order.
