India files protest with Pak over murder of man throughout LoC

NEW DELHI: India registered with Pakistan on a Friday for the murder of an Indian citizen in non-force shooting, official sources said.

One young man died and another was injured when the Pakistani army raped on Thursday and resorted to mortar shelling in the border areas along the Line of Control in the Jammu district.

Gulfraz Ahmed, 18, died and another person was wounded when the shells hit their village in the Mankote sector. A Pakistani soldier was killed in retaliation by Indian forces.

Pakistan earlier this week summoned an Indian diplomat to record a protest over alleged violations of the ceasefire by Indian forces at the LoC. Pakistan claimed that due to indiscriminate and unprovoked shooting by India in the Rakhchikri sector on Tuesday, two women suffered serious injuries.
