NFL changes May meeting to virtual meeting due to virus

NEW YORK: The NFL league meeting scheduled for May 19-20 in the Los Angeles suburbs will be held as a virtual meeting due to coronavirus concerns the NFL Announced.

An annual league meeting scheduled for March 29 to April 1 in Palm Beach, Florida, was suspended due to the deadly virus outbreak, postponing consideration of rule changes and other issues that could affect the 2020 season to the May meeting.

Those votes will now be taken in a virtual environment, following the league staging last week's NFL Draft of unclaimed talent in a virtual format.

We continue to closely monitor conditions related to COVID-19 , and, based on the latest medical and public health information, believe that changing to a virtual meeting is in everyone's best interests, the NFL said in a statement.
