CHANDIGARH: A 2014 IAS officer from the Haryana group announced on social media Thursday that she was going to resign from the prestigious service. Posted as a director at Haryana's archives department, the 38-year-old female officer wrote on her Facebook and Twitter accounts that she would formally submit her resignation to the state government once the national shutdown ended.

Due to the curfew in Chandigarh right now, I am unable to move, along with my sister Reema Nagar. Even the Chandigarh-Ghaziabad roads are closed. After lifting the curfew and confinement, I would resign, and upon taking permission from the state government, I will move to my father's home in Ghaziabad, ”read the message posted by the officer.
