Exclusive - Kiku Sharda of The Kapil Sharma Show dismisses reports of Kapil filming the show from home with no audience

Due to the COVID-19 scare the whole nation is under emergency shutdown and filming of all daily soaps, web shows, and movies has been stopped. However, there have recently been media reports that host Kapil from The Kapil Sharma Show He plans to film the show from home.

The report quoted a source as saying that Kapil has taken a queue from international popular talk shows like Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel and Ellen Degeneres, who have adopted an audienceless format and are planning to record their show from home. But one of the leading members of the cast of TKSS , Kiku Sharda has dismissed these reports.

Kiku said, "I've not been informed about any such development. I don't think anything of this sort is going to happen. The situation is bad in the country now and all we need to do is adhere to the rules of the emergency shutdown . It will be foolish to gather 100 people together for a shoot when we have to strictly follow social-distancing. And shooting without the staff and important people is absolutely impossible. If we ever plan to shoot for TKSS there will be at least 50-60 people and we can't afford to do it at this point of time. There were talks in between if we should shoot TKSS without the audience and we chucked that idea because it is impossible to shoot in the scenario. The show cannot happen without the audience. So, whenever the emergency shutdown comes to an end and everyone starts shooting we will always shoot, till then no shooting is happening."

The cast and crew of The Kapil Sharma Show has not been filming at this time due to the Coronavirus outbreak.
