Odisha Covid-19 positive cases rise to 55
BHUBANESWAR: Positive cases of COVID-19 increased to 55 in Odisha when one more person tested positive in Bhubaneswar on Monday, an official said.
The main spokesman for the Odisha government reported that a 35-year-old person from the Bomikhal containment area of Bhubaneswar tested positive for COVID-19.
The man had contacted four people who tested positive in the area previously.
Although asymptomatic, the case was detected after the sample was collected as part of surveillance in the containment area. He has been transferred to the KIMS hospital in Bhubaneswar.
Of 55 positive cases, 13 recovered and one died of the disease. Active positive cases are 41.
Meanwhile, (BMC) on Monday withdrew the containment zone order from the Sundarpada and Jadupur-Begunia area.

The BMC Commissioner said that although the containment area has been removed, the 7-day house-to-house survey and sample collection of suspects will continue in those areas as part of preventive measures.
Currently, Suryanagar, Bomikhal and Bhubaneswar areas are under containment zones.
