Man arrested for spitting on police in Delhi during confinement
NEW DELHI: A 25-year-old man spat on a police officer after he was allegedly detained while moving in an area that violated the rule. The incident took place on Sunday night when the defendant was trying to move around a picket point.
Around 9:30 p.m., police saw a man wandering around without a mask in the area. They asked him why he did not wear a mask and wandered around at night if there was no urgency. The man identified as started arguing with the police officer and then spat on him. However, the officer moved and was saved.
He was later arrested and a case has been registered under negligent acts sections that can spread infectious diseases and not follow orders from a government official.
