Another coronavirus patient was cured in Ladakh

LEH: One more person has recovered from the infection and has increased the number of people cured in union territory to 12, a senior official said Monday. Now there are only three active patients in the region, two in Leh and one inside, the Secretary of the Commissioner (Health) told reporters here, praising the efforts of frontline workers in the health department.

He said reports of 40 samples, including that of a positive case from Kargil, were received from Delhi on Sunday and all of them were negative. Twenty-eight were sent from Leh and 12 from Kargil.

This was the second time Kargil's patient report came back negative, and as such the patient is declared free of coronavirus, Samphel said.

He said the result is expected from 120 more samples, including 50 taken on Monday.

Meanwhile, Leh District Magistrate warned people of action against irresponsible messages/publications on social networking sites and the circulation of official communications on the Internet.

... Each WhatsApp/Facebook group administrator is ordered to report to the nearest police station if any sensitive and publicly disruptive posts are circulating on social media groups, Kumar said in an order.

It also ordered group administrators to take responsibility and ownership of the content posted on the group.

"Any violation of these instructions will lead to strict action under relevant provisions of the Information Technology Act and IPC and any other relevant provisions of law," he warned. >
