Ramayan's Arvind Trivedi, also known as Raavan, watches the scene of 'Sita apaharan' on television; it gets emotional
Arvind Trivedi played the role of Raavan in the mythological show, Ramayan by Ramanand Sagar in 1987. As the show is on its rerun, Arvind Trivedi, too, is watching the show and a video of him watching the scene where he kidnaps Sita is being circulated on social media.
In the video, Arvind Trivedi aka Raavan, who is now 84 years old, is busy watching that scene and later joins his hands and apologises to people. The scene got him very emotional. Take a look at the video here:
Talking about Ramayan , the show was relaunched amid the lockdown period due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and a lot of thrusts laid by the government machinery to popularise the series.
The over three-decade-old TV series had garnered 170 million viewers in its early four shows. The show has been in the news for several reasons. Right from its TRP, the debate over feminism to memes being generated on some scenes, Ramayan has been all over the place.
Recently, a Twitter user claimed that the channel was broadcasting the episodes of the DVDs. To which, the channel immediately clarified that it was not seeing Doordarshan safely and asked him to verify the source.
Just like Ramayan , many classics such as Shaktimaan, Shrimaan Shrimati are being widely enjoyed by the audience. And it's showing in the numbers on the rating chart.
