Coronavirus suspect jumps to death at quarantine facility in Greater Noida
NOIDA: A 32-year-old man who was under observation on Sunday was killed from the seventh floor of a private university where he was quarantined, authorities said.
The results of his test were expected, the district magistrate said.
The man was held at the university's quarantine center in Greater Noida, where he was killed from the seventh floor of the building on Sunday, the DM said in a statement.
The DM said it ordered a master investigation into the matter.
The investigation will be conducted by the additional district magistrate (Administration), he said.
There was still no other official word on the cause of the man's suicide.
Gautam Buddh Nagar, contiguous to Delhi, in the west, has so far registered 64 positive coronavirus cases, of which 13 patients have been cured and discharged from hospitals, according to official figures.
