Gujarat man sends a drone to find Paan for his friend

RAJKOT: The desperation to satiate addictions is igniting innovations in the minds of tobacco addicts.

In, a tobacco merchant delivered two mavas (betelnut mixed with lemon and tobacco) to his friend using the latter's drone. They did not stop at that. The duo also made a Tiktok video of the delivery over the air and went viral on social media.

The mavas were delivered to the terrace of 26-year-old Ravi Bhadania, owner of the drone. The duo's societies are only 100 meters away. The mavas were prepared by his friend Hiren Gardharia, 29, a tobacco merchant.

They were arrested for violating the government's ban on selling tobacco products during the closing order. The drone flew from one deck to another deck of the Neelkanth Society, covering a distance of 100 meters.

After the video went viral on Saturday night, Morbi Police Superintendent Karanraj Vaghela ordered an investigation.

“We found out that the video was filmed at the Neelkanth Society. During the investigation, we verified the involvement of Gardharia and Bhadania in the crime that followed and caught them, ”said P B Gadhvi, deputy inspector of the Morbi B division police station.
