Andhra Padesh: Four more positive Covid-19 cases reported in Rayalaseema districts

TIRUPATI: Four recent cases of Covid-19 were reported Sunday in the Rayalaseema districts of Kurnool, Kadapa and Chittoor.

According to the official health bulletin published by the respective district administrations, two more positive cases were reported, which brought the total number of patients with Covid-19 in the district to 84.

Officials from the Kadapa district administration said there were 274 people in isolation in the common and traffic quarantines across the district.

Meanwhile, a 27-year-old software engineer working in the national capital of New Delhi, who traveled to Tirupati via Chennai on March 24, tested positive for the new coronavirus on Sunday. The total number of Covid-19 cases in the Chittoor district is now 21.

The 27-year-old from Vadamalapeta, near Tirupati, has been in quarantine since March 25. On April 9, after complaining about the symptoms of Covid-19, he and his grandmother were transferred to the government quarantine facility in Tiruchanoor. On Sunday, he tested positive for Covid-19.
