India sends rapid response medical team to Kuwait
NEW DELHI: India is seeking to step up engagement with Covid-19, with the government on Saturday sending a rapid response team comprising doctors to Kuwait to help the local government in testing and treatment of coronavirus patients. The medical team was sent at the request of the government and will remain there for two weeks.
“The deputation of India n medical experts follows the recent phone call between PM Modi and PM of , in which both leaders agreed for a concerted and coordinated effort against the global pandemic,” the government said. Subsequently, foreign minister S and his Kuwaiti counterpart held a telephone conversation to discuss the prevailing situation in Kuwait.
“ India and Kuwait share a strong partnership. India is reaching out to Kuwait to further complement its efforts to fight the menace effectively,” the government said.
