Covid-19 scare: migrant workers brutally beaten by villagers in Kangra of Himachal Pradesh

DHARAMSHALA: Amid the Covid-19 scare, few Mundla villagers in the Kangra district have brutally beaten a few. Police recorded a case in this matter on Friday and investigations were launched.

A few migrant workers believed to have come were standing near a stream when all of a sudden they were attacked by a group of people with sticks and masks on their faces. They asked the workers to leave.

The town of Mundla where the incident occurred falls.

Shashi Pal Negi, Nagrota Bagwan subdivisional magistrate, said that a case has been registered in this matter.

I have informed the police and investigations are ongoing, he added.

Police authorities said a case was registered on Friday under sections 341, 323, 504 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code.
