'Hum Paanch' returns on television, Rakhi Vijan is excited

Actress Rakhi Vijan She is thrilled that her iconic Hum Paanch series will return to the small screen after more than 15 years.

Hum Paanch will return on April 13.

A story of an ordinary but fun middle-class family, Hum Paanch revolved around Anand Mathur , his second wife, Bina Mathur, and their five daughters, who constantly plan to turn their world upside down. Adding more chaos and confusion to his life is the photo frame of his late wife, who occasionally talks to him and scolds him about certain decisions.

I am very excited for the return of 'Hum Paanch', not only because the show will finally return, but also because it will return at a time when everyone is locked up at home due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In fact, it's also making a comeback due to public demand, which is like a cherry on the cake. I remember very clearly, we entertained the audience for nine long years and with each episode, the PRT went up. We used to make people laugh and enjoy themselves, so I think this is a good time to come back and entertain everyone. Because of the amount of time they will watch the show, people will surely forget their miseries, Rakhi said.

She has many memories associated with the show in which she had played Sweety Mathur.

I would like to take this opportunity and pay tribute to (producer) Ekta Kapoor . I don't think many people know that, but she started her career when she was just 16 years old and created the story by sitting in the boss's chair at such a young age. The best part was that even though she was the boss, she used to come and give us the character summary and script personally. In fact, sometimes he even represented it for us, which was really fantastic, Rakhi said.

To be honest, 'Hum Paanch' was her concept, she did the casting and each episode was also approved by her. His passion really inspired us. I would also like to add that the show has a very special place in my heart because everyone (the cast) started this show together at a very young age and none of the girls had any traits of competitiveness or jealousy. In fact, we were like a family. There was always a positive energy on set that really made 9 years go by easily, he added.

The decade-long show, which ended in 2006, also starred Ashok Saraf , Shoma Anand , Vandana Pathak , Vidya Balan, Bhairavi Raichura and Priyanka Mehra .
