Five more positive tests for coronavirus in Dharavi of Mumbai

MUMBAI: Five more people, including two who returned from last month's religious meeting in Nizamuddin, tested positive in Dharavi, bringing the count in the slum-dominated area to 22, BMC officials said Friday.

According to officials, among the five two there are women. One of them, 29, is the wife of a doctor who previously tested positive for Vaibhav Nagar, while the other, 31, is a resident of the town of Kalyanwadi, they said.

Two people on the list of policemen who returned from Markaz (the Tablighi Jamaat event at its headquarters in Nizamuddin, Delhi) were also positive, a senior BMC official said.

He said that one of them was a resident of Dr. Baliga Nagar, while the other is from the PMGP colony.

Both were quarantined at the Rajiv Gandhi sports complex and have now been transferred to the hospital, he said.
