Want to focus content-based movies: Ankush
Ankush who was last seen in Bibaho Obhijaan of Birsa Dasgupta is ready to walk on a new path. Well, the actor, who has appeared in comedies and romantic movies in the past, will soon be seen in a horror thriller. The movie titled ‘ Bhoy It is being run by Raja Chanda and stars Nusraat Faria opposite Ankush.
When we spoke to Ankush, I insisted in focusing more on content-driven films from now on, I love horror flicks. I watch every horror release in theaters. It's not just about horror though. The next few ventures that I'm a part of are intense, content-driven films. They aren't the run-of-the-mill gimmicky films. One won't get to see done-and-dusted content like hero bashing goons and emerging as the inspiration. These films are all backed by innovative content - most importantly, strong storylines, he shared.
When asked how confident he is of his upcoming projects, he said: Trust is secondary. First I want our audience to believe in Bengali movies. In recent times, many commercial movies with good content went completely unnoticed. This shouldn't be happening. added.
Beside ‘Bhoy’ he will be teaming up with Baba Yadav once again after Villano and this time it will be a love story.
Meanwhile, the actor recently donated Rs 1 lakh to the CM relief fund to help in the fight against coronavirus and also an additional Rs 1 lakh to the fund created by the East Indian Federation of Film Technicians and Workers.
