South Korean President PM Modi Discuss Ways To Address Covid-19 Pandemic
NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi On Thursday, he discussed with the president ways to tackle the new coronavirus pandemic through cooperation and harnessing the power of technology.
I had a phone conversation with @ moonriver365 about the prevailing situation at COVID-19 and how we can combat this pandemic through cooperation and harnessing the power of technology, the prime minister tweeted.
Modi expressed his appreciation to the government of the Republic of Korea for facilitating supplies and transportation of medical equipment from Indian companies, according to an official statement. The Prime Minister also expressed his appreciation for the technology-based response deployed by the Republic of Korea to handle the crisis. President Moon Jae-in appreciated how the Indian authorities have motivated the vast Indian population to combat the pandemic with unity of purpose, according to the statement.
The two leaders agreed that their experts would continue to consult with each other and share experiences, while investigating solutions for COVID-19. Prime Minister Modi warmly recalled his visit to the Republic of Korea last year and expressed satisfaction at the increasingly close ties between the two countries.
The Korean President thanked the Prime Minister for the support provided by the Indian authorities to Korean citizens in India. Modi conveyed his best wishes to President Moon for the upcoming National Assembly elections in the Republic of Korea.
