Mumbai: Third Covid-19 death reported by Dharavi
MUMBAI: For the second day in a row, the congested town of Mumbai reported a Covid-19 related death.
A 70-year-old Kalyan Wadi woman in the area she entered Parel died after testing positive for COvid-19.
This is the third Covid-19 related death from the densely populated locality reported in the past week. The first case in the area was that of a 56-year-old clothing unit owner who had housed Tablighi Jamaat members in another apartment that was his at their housing complex at Dr. Baliga Nagar. He had tested positive and died on April 1.
The total number of positive patients is now 12. The high-risk contacts of all these patients have been transferred to the Rajiv Gandhi District Sports Complex in Dharavi, which has been acquired by civil authorities for a quarantine facility.
