Award-winning actor Indrans pulls out the tailor he has to make facial masks at home.
A video tutorial on sewing face masks with the Mollywood actor Indrans is doing the rounds on the internet. The video shows Indrans giving a brief on how to make face masks at home and when he paddles the wheel of the sewing machine, you no longer see the actor in him. It's the same Indrans, who used to sew clothes for a living at his old tailoring shop in his home town, back in Trivandrum. The actor who has been entertaining the audience for decades was a tailor by profession before entering the films. He has also worked as a costume designer in films before fetching movies as an actor. And it seems like he hasn't lost the skill yet.
As a part of the Coronavirus outbreak awareness and ‘break the chain’ campaign the actor has shot a video on how to make facemasks. The video is filmed inside the tailoring unit of the Central Prison of Kerala, Poojappura. In the nearly five minute video, Indrans is describing how to make a three-layered cloth mask, and the actor himself sews one.
The video shared by the Kerala health department is winning hearts. The actor's step-by-step instructions were helpful to many, and also the actor's attitude toward remembering his roots and admitting it in public has impressed fans.
Indrans who has won the Kerala State Award for best actor for his performance in ‘Aalorukkam’ has been part of over 500 films. The actor was earlier identified as a comedian, however, his recent films have seen him essaying the lead. Indrans, who has won many accolades have recently won the best actor award at the Singapore South Asian International Film Festival. The actor has always been in news for his simplicity and his recent video has added to it.
