'Titli' to tell the story of an aspiring pilot

A new Bengali television show Titli is set to launch soon. The daily soap will tell the story of a girl who wanted to be a pilot from childhood. Unfortunately, Titli suffers from hearing impairment. But that doesn't stop Titli from chasing her dream of becoming a pilot.

When the small screen is dominated by saas-bahu sagas and period-dramas, Titli’s storyline seems to be quite appealing. But it is not the first time Bengali television is going to feature an inspiring character. Apart from seeing footballer bahu Joyee, who later got busy in household chores or Mohor who wanted to pursue higher education, Bengali TV had its very own Ginni Legend and housewife turned independent woman Sreemoyee too. Other than that, ' Prothoma Kadombini It also tells the story of a lady who faced all the difficulties in conservative society in the pre-independence era and became a medical practitioner.

The story is based on the life of Dr. Kadambini Ganguly . Another show, Kadombini, based on a similar story, is being prepared for launch. The story of a transgender mother told on the Phirki show is another example that Bengali television is not shy to experience.
