Adoor Goplakrishnan talks about how the expert committee made recommendations on post-closure restrictions

The expert committee that was appointed by the Kerala government to make recommendations on a gradual return to normal in the state blockade after assessing the situation had submitted the report on Monday to the Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan . 17-member workforce led by former Chief Secretary KM Abraham includes veteran filmmaker Adoor Gopalakrishnan .

The report described the Covid-19 pandemic as an unprecedented public health crisis. Suggestions include restricting the number of people attending funerals and weddings to 10 and limiting passengers to two.

Talking on how the expert committee came up with recommendations, director Adoor Gopalakrishnan tells us, “Everything was done online. Everybody submitted their viewpoints through the internet and then we created a comprehensive report. Those in Thiruvanathapuram went to meet the CM to submit the reports. ”
