Infosys' Rao is President of Nasscom
Bangalore: IT industry body Nasscom has appointed Infosys chief operating officer UB Pravin Rao as its president for 2020-21. He replaces Keshav Murugesh, CEO of the WNS Global Services group. Rekha M Menon, President and CEO of Accenture in India, will be the Vice President. Nasscom held its first executive council meeting via video conference on Monday.
“These are difficult times for the Indian IT industry. However, it has proven itself over and over again, and I have no doubt that this time too, we will emerge stronger and wiser. As we all adjust to a new normal, I look forward to continuing the great work that Nasscom has been doing to transform the industry and make it relevant in this digital age. I believe that our industry, more than ever, needs a focused approach to developing resilience, training is the workforce and contributes to the growth of our country, said Rao.
