Cold Ashish D’abreo beers to help you navigate the summer in isolation

The stage is where theater lovers would remember seeing Ashish D’abreo. But the actor is perhaps also popular for his love of crafting unique varieties of cold coffee drinks. In the midst of closing, he has been busy experimenting a little more than usual with his beers. “These grim times have given us extra time and space to work on our skills and revisit things that are generally kept up in the midst of hectic schedules. And in a hot climate like this, nothing can be more stimulating than a glass of cold, homemade coffee, Ashish says, as he takes us through five recipes that can easily be made at home with simple ingredients.

COLD LATTE

Ingredients:


• Cold brew concentrate/coffee decoction/quick injection

• Ice cubes

• Sugar syrup • cold milk

Method:

Pour 60 or 120 ml of cold beer concentrate into a glass (depending on how strong you want your coffee); add a few ice cubes; pour a little sugar syrup (optional); and then add cold milk to the drink as a finishing touch.



COLD TONIC COLD

Ingredients:


• cold beer concentrate

• Ice cubes

• Chilled tonic water

• Lemon slices

Method:

Pour 60 ml of cold beer concentrate into a glass; add some ice cubes; pour a little tonic water; and then garnish with lemon wedges.



COLD BUTTER

Ingredients:


• Peanut butter

• Decoction of coffee

• Sugar syrup

• Ice cubes

Method:

Put a tablespoon of peanut butter in a cup; add two shots of coffee decoction; mix it properly; add a little sugar syrup; and finish off with some ice cubes.



COFFEE AND WATERMELON

Ingredients:


• Pieces of watermelon

• Decoction of coffee

• Sugar syrup

• Ice cubes

Method:

Put a few pieces of watermelon in a shaker bottle; add a little sugar syrup and a few ice cubes; pour 60 ml of coffee decoction; shake it well; pour it into a tall glass; and decorate it with mint leaves.



MILK WITH COCONUT Iced milk

Ingredients:


• Concentrated coffee

• Jaggery syrup

• Ice cubes

• coconut milk

Method:

Pour a dose of coffee concentrate and 30 ml of sugar syrup in a glass; add a few ice cubes; and top with cold coconut milk.
