Fighting COVID-19: Yuvraj Singh agrees to donate Rs 50 lakh to the PM-CARES Fund

NEW DELHI: Former star cricket player from India Yuvraj Singh on Sunday he promised to donate Rs 50 lakh to the PM-CARES Fund to help combat COVID-19 pandemic .

The flamboyant all-rounder also appealed to the people to stay united in the fight against the pandemic that has so far claimed more than 70 lives while infecting over 3000 across the country.

We are stronger when we are united. I'll light a candle tonight at 9 p.m. for 9 minutes. You are with me? he asked, referring to the prime minister Narendra Modi the appeal of light candles , diyas or torches for nine minutes.
