I am learning new ways to entertain my daughter: Cheteshwar
Blocking is an unprecedented situation for all of us, but I prefer to look at the positives during these difficult times. As professional cricketers we travel constantly and this break has given me the opportunity to spend more time at home.
‘PLAYING WITH MY DAUGHTER KEEPS ME THROUGHOUT THE DAY’
My daughter Aditi, who turned two in February, is a very energetic girl and playing with her keeps me very busy throughout the day. I'm even learning new ways to entertain her, like dancing with her or playing some new games indoors. When my wife Puja is cooking, Aditi also goes to the kitchen and we teach her the names of the vegetables. He also loves to color, watch birds, and play with me in our garden. This break has allowed me to dedicate myself to gardening, which I really enjoy.
I'm catching up on movies and TV shows
In the past, there were movies that I had to lose due to cricket commitments, but now I am watching some movies and TV shows. I recently saw Hindi Medium and I loved Irrfan's performance. I am also working in our home gym to keep fit, in addition to practicing yoga. Also, with our licensed domestic help, it is my duty to help Puja and, although I can't cook, I try to help her with housework like cleaning. We also keep in touch with all our friends and family through phone calls.
THE GREATEST LESSON IS THAT WE MUST FIND TIME TO DO THE THINGS WE LOVE
Blocking makes you realize that the importance of money to stay happy is often overrated. All wealth means nothing if you don't spend quality time with your family. I'm not saying you shouldn't be looking to earn money, but sometimes we ignore our families in our daily lives. The biggest lesson is that we must learn to find time to do things we love instead of just going through motions. This phase teaches you to appreciate your family more. Plus, it's time to be more empathetic to the people around us.
I am anxiously waiting to visit our Academy
Currently, our academy, where dad and I teach cricket to kids for free, is completely closed. Once the lock is lifted, I am eager to go there. However, I am not in a hurry. As responsible citizens, all we should not do is start wandering freely and carelessly immediately after the blockade is lifted. We must be patient, take the necessary precautions and go out only when necessary, for at least two weeks. , even after lifting the lock.
We must all be responsible citizens.
