Maharashtra: Covid-19 patient dies in Aurangabad
AURANGABAD: A 58-year-old man died of infection in the district on Sunday, an official said. This is the first Covid-19 death reported in the state region.
The man was admitted to the Hospital and here as a coronavirus suspect two days ago.
His test report came back positive on Sunday morning and he died in the afternoon, the hospital's dean said in a statement.
The man died of acute respiratory distress syndrome due to Covid-19, the official said, adding that he also suffered from diabetes and hypertension.
As of Saturday, 32 state deaths were reported, including 22 from Mumbai, two from Pune, five from excluding Mumbai and one from Buldhana, Jalgaon and Amravati.
