NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a joint meeting of Empowered Groups on Saturday to formulate a response to the spread in the country.
At the meeting, the Prime Minister reviewed readiness across the country regarding the availability of hospitals, adequate isolation and quarantine facilities, as well as disease surveillance, testing and critical care training.

The Prime Minister also directed officials to ensure sufficient production, procurement, and availability of all essential medical equipment, such as PPE, masks, gloves, and ventilators.
The meeting occurred when the number of confirmed cases in the country reached 2,902 with 68 deaths.
