Empower poets and poetry lovers

Under its Streaming Passion initiative, the Nukkad Cafe de Pune is inviting artists, musicians, writers and poets to join its online events organized on social media, to share their passion. “We can make art, artists and their admirers interact with each other to keep their spirit alive. Anyone around the world can join us, says owner Vaibhav Paliwal. As part of the live broadcast event, a virtual musical performance of Abhishek Mimo will take place on March 21 and a virtual poetry gathering hosted by The Yellow Room - Poet’s Club on March 22 on Instagram.

Vaibhav says: “In this moment of social distancing and isolation, social networks have become an important tool to bring art to the palm of people's hands. Live performances will help art and artists reach anyone worldwide and find a wider audience. It will also help viewers view real-time performance, original content online, as well as watch movies, series, news, books, etc. online.

Explaining how online clubs and virtual poetry events are helping people bond with each other at the time of social estrangement, Vaibhav says that these events are bringing people closer together by sharing a mutual love for art and content. with which they get involved. “At a time when people are not (physically) together, online poetry meetings will help them share their writings and perspectives with the world through recitals. They will also be able to listen to poems written by other poets, which is not always possible at an event organized in a café. Reactions, praise, appreciation or a positive comment will further motivate and strengthen people's morale and promote the art form, ”adds Vaibhav, who wants to continue organizing virtual events after the period of estrangement and isolation. He emphasizes that this could inspire people to start writing poems. If we keep the ball rolling, then definitely more people will join in, he adds.
