Wipro Senior Vice President Raja Ukil resigns

BENGALURU: SVP and Global Head of Cyber Security and Risk Services (CRS) resigned after 18 years with the firm. Ukil's departure comes just a year after he took over as head of CRS. He did several concerts, including as chief information officer.

His colleague Sheetal Mehta has replaced him. When TOI contacted Wipro, the company confirmed Mehta's appointment as global head of CRS, effective April 1, in addition to his current role as director of information security (CISO). Prior to his role as CISO, Mehta led Wipro's CRS unit for more than a decade. It will continue to report to Wipro President and COO, Bhanumurthy BM.

Wipro is increasing its presence in CRS as companies are remodeling their IT infrastructure after digital has altered the business security landscape. With the rise of connected devices and the transition to the cloud, cybersecurity threats continue to rise beyond the enterprise.
