PM discusses coronavirus situation with Maharashtra CM

MUMBAI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi On Wednesday, he discussed the coronavirus situation in Maharashtra, which has the highest number of cases in the country, with the prime minister by phone.

Maharashtra has recorded 335 cases of coronavirus so far.

State officials said the Prime Minister urged Thackeray to intensify the tracing, testing and treatment of people who arrived in Mumbai and the rest of the state after attending a meeting in New Delhi last month.

The congregation in the national capital area was later discovered to be a critical point of coronavirus.

The prime minister will hold a video with all the chief ministers on Thursday.
