Italian priest who gave respirator to younger patients dies

A 72-year-old priest who gave his respirator to a younger Covid-19 patient he didn't know died. Father, the chief priest of the city of, rejected a respirator his parishioners had bought for him and instead gave it away.

He died last week in Bergamo, one of the most affected cities. He was a simple person, with great kindness towards everyone, said the mayor of Casnigo.

Although there was no funeral for the priest, people reportedly applauded from their balconies when their coffin was brought to be buried. The independent
