First Madhya Pradesh coronavirus death: Ujjain woman dies in Indore hospital after testing positive
INDORE: Madhya Pradesh recorded the first death of a patient on Wednesday when a 65-year-old woman, who was admitted to a Ujjain hospital and was referred, died hours after she was tested positive.
The woman was under treatment and tested positive for COVID-19. His oxygen saturation level was low and his condition was complicated by diabetes . She passed away on Wednesday, the collector said.
The woman had no travel history, but was admitted to a Ujjain hospital with cough and cold symptoms on March 22. She was referred to MY Hospital in Indore after her condition worsened.
“She was critical and had severe pulmonary complications, after which she was sent to Indore. She died Wednesday after testing positive for COVID-19, said Ujjain Isolation Ward Nodal Officer Dr. HP Sonaniya.
Health and administrative officials rushed to the area where the woman resided and are in the process of evaluating residents. The woman comes from a family of eight. Her son, a worker at, told TOI that his mother has not left Ujjain in the past four months. She stayed at home for most of the day.
No one who has visited places outside of Ujjain has known our relatives or visited our home, he said.
Ujjain collector Shashank Mishra ended the curfew in Ujjain and gave strict instructions to residents to stay indoors.
