No one will be marked as 'doubtful' during the process of updating the National Population Register: Amit Shah

NEW DELHI: Amit Shah said Thursday that no one will be flagged as dubious during the National Population Registry update process ( NPR ).

Replying to a debate in on the Delhi riots, the Union home minister also said that no document will be sought for updating the NPR.

Asserting that no one needs to fear the NPR process, Amit Shah He said that giving certain information during the process is optional.

Stating that the hate speeches started after the came, Amit Shah said Muslims are being mislead and no one's citizenship is being taken away by the new Act.
