Sunil Gavaskar visits the Golden Temple

AMRITSAR: The legendary hitter and former team captain visited the Golden Temple here on Thursday morning. The Little Master said that the outbreak of it could impact the game of cricket.

In a brief discussion with the media, he said there is no doubt that there will also be some impact of the coronavirus on cricket. In, the government has banned public gatherings and it will be seen how much effect it leaves on the Indian team's IPL and other cricket matches, he said.

Legendary hitter Gavaskar was on his way to comment on the first of three games in the ODI series between India and South Africa.

I was on my way to Dharamshala but the flight was diverted to Amritsar Last night, so I decided to visit the Golden Temple to pay tribute and offer prayers, he said.

Claiming that he was blessed for paying homage at the Golden Temple, Gavaskar said he also prayed for the elimination of the coronavirus from the world and good health for all.
