First confirmed case of coronavirus in Jammu and Kashmir

JAMMU: A 63-year-old woman tested positive here, making her the first confirmed case in Kashmir, officials said Monday.

The woman, who had a history of travel to Iran, was between two patients who were declared cases of high viral load by the administration over the weekend.

They are receiving treatment in the hospital's isolation room (GMC) and are in a stable condition, officials said.

The patient's test report is positive, while the other patient's report is still pending, said a Health Department official.
