South Korea will suspend visa exemptions, existing visas for Japan: Ministry of Foreign Affairs
SEOUL: He said Friday that he will suspend visa exemptions in response to restrictions imposed by Tokyo , as the containment ignited a diplomatic dispute between the two Asian nations.
As of March 9, visa exemptions for Japan and the validity of existing visas will be suspended, Deputy Foreign Minister Cho Sei-young said at a press conference.
The measures came one day after Japan banned visitors from heavily affected areas in South Korea and ordered two weeks of quarantine for others.
