Karnataka Budget 2020: Kannada's film industry has its own City of Cinema in Bangalore, 500 million rupees allocated for it

The Chief Minister of Karnataka, Yeddyurappa, presented the Karnataka Budget 2020 and there is good news for the Kannada Cinema industry! In the budget, 500 rupees crore have been assigned to build an independent Movie town in Bangalore

The Movie town project has been shifted out of Mysuru City and has been planned to be built in Bangalore. Previously, there was a lot of confusion about the Movie town and this budget has cleared all the confusions.

Recently, Rocking Star Yash appealed to CM at the International Film Festival and told Yeddyurappa how the industry was struggling to make movies going to other cities and asked him to build a studio in Karnataka.

Earlier in 2018, Former CM Siddaramaiah’s government had announced to build a Movie town in Mysore, and also allotted Rs 100 acres of land for the purpose. The Kumaraswamy government then shifted the Movie town plan from Mysore to Ramanagaram. Now, Yeddyurappa has announced the building of the Movie town in Bangalore.
