Will the 'Gypsy' version of Raju Murugan, released on March 6, create controversies?
Raju Murugan last directed the 2016 Tamil film 'Joker' which stars Guru Somasundaram and Ramya Pandiyan in lead roles. The political satire had gone on to win the National Award and the Filmfare award under the Best Film category. Now, director Raju Murugan is again back with his latest directorial ' Gypsy ', starring Jiiva and debutante Natasha Singh in lead roles. After a delay in the release, ' Gypsy ' is hitting screens tomorrow, March 6, and it is said that the movie can create controversies .
' Gypsy ' is said to have strong political content as the story questions the workings of political parties. The director has courageously made the film, reportedly sparing all the political parties and sticking to the fundamentals of a political party. Also, the director has apparently taken no sides to support any of the political parties. However, DMK leader MK Stalin did watch the film a few days ago and praised the director and Jiiva for the film.
Earlier, a deleted scene from the film was released as a sneak peek, and it got a great response from the audience. The film's hard-hitting political dialogues had hindered its release, but now the film has received an 'A' certificate from the censor board. The expectations from the film are getting higher, and it is also being said that it is expected to create controversies after release. ' Gypsy ' is produced by Ambeth Kumar's Olympia Movies, and it has music scored by Santhosh Narayanan.
